In The News

Wheel 'Em In
Yes, wheel 'em in, the rent a quote crowd. This time it's Keith Vaz and some Charity bod weighing in with the dodgy quotes about a video game from those cheeky scamps who brought you GTA. While the MP for Leicester East seems to blame the game makers for the failure of the certification system, the charity man takes the biscuit for this offering: "If there is an incident of a young person who attacks their bully and it ends up in a violent circumstance and it is proved that young person had access to the Rockstar game, I think Rockstar would have a lot of thinking to do and a lot on their conscience".

Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink
We've all heard the dead boyfriend urban legend in one form or another, but it appears that another story from the same stable affected David Blunkett rather differently than the rest of us in the Autumn of 2001. What's more, he "Immediately registered the significance of this" and informed his boss. Well, I don't know about you, but I heard at least four versions of the tale at that traumatic time without once thinking it was significant. Which probably explains why I never made it in politics, I suppose.

What Larks
There's always been a certain sort of politician who just can't resist cracking rubbish jokes, and nowadays there's more ways then ever before to put them in front of the long suffering public. First there was the blogging MP and his desperately unfunny teens page. Now we have the You Tube wars and Labour's Sion Simon pulling off the near impossible task of coming second best to the Webcameran video.
